Project overview
A two-storey home in weatherboard and render at East Ryde, with the upper floor stepped back over a columned portico and the garaging held flush with the front wall rather than pushed out in front of it.
Plantation shutters throughout, a dark hip roof against pale cladding, and a single unbroken eave line carried around the corners.
The build
A street that already had a character
An established Beecroft street of pitched roofs and deep front gardens. The house was drawn to sit in it rather than to announce itself.
